embracing the avant-garde

Angela is a budding multimedia artist who loves exploring themes around trauma and self-knowing, liminal spaces and dream-like states, the power of female rage, and the surrealism of everyday reality. Her educational background in psychology and art therapy pushes her to embrace the creative power of healing, while her innate curiosity has her learning and experimenting with different modes of expression, media and tools. With a Master’s in Creative and Cultural Futures from the University of Canberra (Australia), she is keen to bring her imagination to life in every possible form.

This platform is an attempt at curating her diverse creative endeavours and ambitious projects.

She is passionate about inventing new ways of viewing the world and her own experiences within it.

For her Master’s final Creative Project, she developed a creative mapping process using iterative creative experimentation and harnessing the material affordances and aesthetic elements of found objects, reflective materials, and malleable forms. Mapping can encourage agentic self-reflection through metaphorical and material resources during the ‘making’ process, facilitating a therapeutic working-through to cope with adversity
